I'm so honored to have known Kaitlyn. My memories of her are wonderful. I miss seeing her and talking with her. Each time I see a yellow rose I think of her.
I look forward to being at "Kicks For Kaitlyn" again this year.

What a beautiful way to remember such a beautiful young girl. I can't remember the last time I looked at a rose, or saw a soccer ball and did not think about Kaitlyn. I will forever remember her spirit and her smile.

We all miss you soooooo much Kaitlyn, Emily loves to swing just like you!! The kids, as small as they were, still remember you and talk about you all the time. We promise to keep your memory alive with them because we know how much you loved them! I told Emily the other day how much you used to lug her around on your hip when she was little and push her around all the time in the carriage when we were camping. We all miss you!!!

I remember Kaitlyn playing with Josh.  Giving him a toy to take home.  I still have that toy.  Kathy and I talked many hours about being first time moms, experiencing it at the same time.  Although we drifted apart from daily contact, I have always felt proud to have Kathy and Kaitlyn and their family as part of my friend base.  Josh recently saw information about the soccer tournament and he is working to put a team together, he even asked isn't that the girl we use to go and visit.  I was shocked and happy that he remembered.  Kaitlyn did have that effect.  She is missed and remembered by her friends in Warren.

Even though I didn't really know Kaitlyn that well, she still seemed like a nice girl. My parents are really close to her parents so that's how I somewhat got to know her. I knew that she was an outstanding soccer player. One of my favorite teachers, Mrs. Marchetti, told me the whole life story of how Kaitlyn developed cancer. It was so sad to hear about how she was a happy girl and how she struggled almost everyday of her Jr. High years going through surgerys and chemo therapy. I know how badly cancer can affect somebody's life, and their friends and families lives. My Nana past away from cancer 2 years ago in September. It's just a really sad thing. I go to Kicks for Kaitlyn every year and it's so much fun. I love you Kaitlyn and miss you too! <3
